    Firefox crashes frequently with Facebook

    Hi,

I play regularly (Adobe Flash) games on Facebook, such as Farmville. Unfortunately Firefox crashed frequently here, even five times this morning. The same problem occurs with Internet Explorer.

I have not tried to contact with Zynga, the maker of Farmville. I wanted to inform here, hoping that someone knows what the cause is and what I possibly can do. So, anyone an idea?

The Addon might be buggy , the addon developer should be notified. Anyways , start Firefox in safe mode and disable all addons , now close Firefox and start the firefox. Afterwards, you can enable Addons one by one. If the firefox crashes, then consider the last activated addon is buggy and disable it. To start Firefox in Safe Mode, follow the below steps :

    1. Close down Firefox completely: At the top of the Firefox window, click the File menu, and select the Exit menu item.Close down Firefox completely: On the menu bar, click the Firefox menu, and select the Quit Firefox menu item.Close down Firefox completely: At the top of the Firefox window, click the File menu, and select the Quit menu item.

    2. In Windows, click Start, open the All Programs list, and navigate to the Mozilla Firefox folder. In the Mozilla Firefox folder, select Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode).Hold down the Option key, as you start Firefox.Go to your Terminal and run:

    firefox -safe-mode

You may need to specify the Firefox installation path (e.g. /usr/lib/firefox-3.5).

    3. Firefox should start up with a Firefox Safe Mode dialog.

If still your Firefox crashes with safe mode, however, is that it does not reset the preferences, and preference may also cause a bad corrupt (not extensions). So if we still crashing in safe mode you'll have to delete the preferences next. If you have not established a large number of preferences or do not care reset again, the best way to do this is to start safe mode again but this time check the box to "restore all user preferences and then click "make changes and restart". Alternatively, you can create a second profile, and see if it stops. This will tell us immediately if the problem is something in your profile as an extension, preferences, or something else
