I think the one way you can watch live TV is using 'pc tv'.All you need to have latest windows media player or real player.Use broadband connection for better results. First look at some options in media player and real player.Start the media player-> Right-Click and select Options from the menu-> Click on Performance and Change the Buffer Size of Content to 30 seconds or if have real player open real player-> select Tools -> Preferences and click on the General -> Playback Settings. The setting Buffer up to 30 seconds is at the bottom of the window.
On windows media player choose File -> Open Url or the shortcut ctrl + u
On real player choose File -> Open PC TV Programs.
Download Sopcast, unzip, start. A channel list will be displayed. Double-click a channel and windows media player should start and begin buffering and displaying.

Hey,You do not have look any where else for watching live tv ,it is option present in your VLC Media player, that also acts as a streaming server with transcoding capabilities.Just do following setting in VLC player.
Go to Stream Settings screen and set the file to stream using UDP on port 1234 . Use unicast to stream the video. Then simply clicked on Open Network Stream, chose UDP port 1234 (the default) and clicked OK .When done with this you can able to watch live TV with good picture quality.
