I had the same error, I removed it by apt-get install epiphany-browser, its so good. Addition of a shortcut menu is not necessary. If you type directly epiphany-browser in the terminal, it will work fine. Then you can add a shortcut for epiphany or you want by clicking on "new element"

You need to activate the Flash plugin and a VLC plugin. To do this follow the steps bellow :
    a) plugin by default
    b) demonstration print plugin for UNIX / Linux
    c) DivX Web Player
    Helix Player
    d) DNA; RealPlayer G2
    e) The iTunes Application Detector
    f) Quick Time plugin
    g) Web Totem browser plugin 2.22.1
    h) plugin for Windows Media Player 10 (Totem 2.22.1)

I have notice this problem with the developers of Firefox and think its a bug in friefox. You can use some programs to edit photos Ubuntu. Try gimp or ImageMagick. For best results use Ubuntu Synaptic to download and install them if not already installed.
