AMD Phenom 9600 slows down Google Chrome.

I have been using Google Chrome web browser since it has been launched by Google. I am a big Google fan. I have changed my processor from Intel Core 2 Duo to AMD Phenom Black edition 9600. But when I surf the web in my Google Chrome now it is alot slower than what I used to experience earlier. I also switched on to Windows 7 64-bit Version from my earlier 32-bit version. I am not able to surf at the same speed now. Help.

I don't thinkso that AMD is responsible for slowing down your browsing in Google Chrome. Infact the actual reason might be the drivers needed for Google Chrome. Since initially you used Google Chrome on a 32 bit version of Windows 7 operating system you would have had the drivers for a 32-bit processor. Now what you need are drivers for 64 bit version. Try to un-install Google Chrome completely and then again download the latest Google Chrome browser. This will help you to browse with same performance as you initially enjoyed.

Now since you have upgraded your CPU from Intel Core 2 Duo to the new AMD Black edition processor and also have switched from Windows 7 32bit version to a full 64bit version, you might also require to increase your RAM. Probably it is been known that although Google Chrome makes less CPU utilization it is known to make the optimum use of RAM. So you can upgrade your RAM. If installing all new RAM then use install 3GB DDR3 RAM.

Its true that Google Chrome is been running slow on 64bit version of Windows 7. So its not your AMD Phenom that is causing this issue but the 64bit version of Windows 7. But solution to make your Google Chrome faster on 64bit Windows 7 is by the following method:
Move your cursor over the Google Chrome icon on your desktop and right cick. Under the Shortcut tab(second tab), in the Target textbox type –in-process-plugin after chrome.exe. Now click OK. This will save the changes. Now you are going to surf the web faster using Google Chrome.
