There is any easy way to lock or protect your opened tabs in Firefox. What you need to do is just right-click any tab and two of the options on the menu are "Lock Tab" and "Protect Tab". You must know that both of these options are not only for preventing tabs from getting closed.

If you'll choose the Prevent Tab option, than your tab will be prevented from getting closed. And if you'll choose Lock Tab option, it will be prevented from navigating to another page or URL. Your tab is locked on the current page or URL.
