deal with bandwidth hogs

Hello,
I am runnig hotel chain. i have an issue about my internet bandwith. I always faccing the problem with users of file sharing applications who were consuming all of its network bandwidth. matters with guests from using file sharing applications like BitTorrent and LimeWire. We have a guest who is sharing files, and file-sharing application should do so many links that would saturate the band bandwidth on our T-1 and affect all the other guests at this property. What should i do ? Any suggestion??

Re: deal with bandwidth hogs

Thank you to manage bandwidth improved from Exinda devices, Intown Suites puts all its voice and data on integrated T-1 lines at each of its properties, which are provided by Qwest.Ark uses Eye of The Storm New York Entuity Ltd based network monitor and locate points and ease the pain. Streaming stock quotes are using the most terrible of bandwidth, Shpak said, but "no one thing really put us on top."
Monitoring helped to identify bottlenecks such as those resulting from improper configuration of connections between clients and servers. Sometimes, the fix was as simple as moving an application server closer to those workers who are most used. In other cases, he had to invest in routers or switches larger or more bandwidth.

Re: deal with bandwidth hogs

The average user often knows very little about how the bandwidth can be problematic for the network. When a user may have a vague idea that upload video files requires a lot of bandwidth compared to a text file, it could ignore what would happen if too many users on the LAN are watching YouTube videos to same time. Therefore, user training is necessary to ensure that employees are aware that bandwidth is not an unlimited resource network.
The problems for users who sap nonwork-networks with issues related to Internet activity are software vendors have had time to address in recent years. If the situation arises, it is now easy to track users who are causing problems by monopolizing network bandwidth.

Re: deal with bandwidth hogs

Using software to monitor user activity raises confidentiality issues. To begin, it is crucial that the business users know that their Internet use may be monitored. Employees should also know that their communications are not private, and the websites they visit and email communications they send and receive may be, in some cases reviewed by a third party.Make employees know that certain uses (such as downloading movies on YouTube or make downloading illegal videos) are not allowed and that illegal activity may slow down the network and thus cause problems. One others to protect users' privacy is to monitor only the consumption bandwidth to protect the network without scanning e-mails of people, websites visited, and personal use.
