It is a beta. Is expected. You might try uninstalling that and trying 8.5 (2008) instead. To do so, just go to Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features, find Windows Live Essentials and choose Uninstall/Change to uncheck/remove Messenger. Because these errors are unlikely to be the real thing. |

As per the Windows Live Messenger Technical Support Team : 1. Go to http://g.live.com/0HE_TRACKSTAR_ENUS9/148382 2. Click any item in the left pane, and then wait for the page is completely loaded. 3. Click Get more help at the bottom right corner of the page, click Get support. 4. Complete the online form and then click Send. |

If you have installed McAfee Site Advisor, it could be the problem. If you are temporarily unable to upgrade SiteAdvisor, McAfee recommends configuring SiteAdvisor to stop monitoring Live Messenger. Windows XP/2000/Vista (32-bit): 1. Navigate to C: \ Program Files \ McAfee \ SiteAdvisor. 2. Sasets.ini Click the file and select Open With, and then select Notepad. 3. Find the section titled [msnmsgr.exe]. 4. Change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0. 5. Click File and select Save. 6. Sasets.ini close and restart your computer for the changes to take effect. |

There could be various reasons can cause the audio/video feature not to work properly. Weve noticed that the settings of some security programs have a conflict with the latest version of Messenger. Same is true with some third party applications. Refer to the link below for list of steps that can help to resolve or isolate the issue. http://windowslivehelp.com/solution....c-f191f489c938 |
