TATA Photon Whiz keeps on Disconnecting

Hi,
What is the reason behind continuous disconnection of TATA Photon USB Modem. I had installed the modem in a laptop recently. The modem gets disconnected automatically after a time interval. This is to frequently. Then I re-installed the entire thing back again. It works for some time and again the same issue occurs. I need some suggestion regarding this. That what are the most common reason by which wireless internet gets disconnected automatically. Thanks.

There can be multiple reason behind it. First are you installing the correct drivers. Do you know what type of operating system you are using. Like Windows 32 bit or 64 bit. A wrong driver can create the issue. First get information about your operating system and then try to get the proper driver relevant to it. Also check out that any system security program is not blocking your internet connection.

Check out that at the time of using internet there is not other service related to it is running in the background. See that you have proper signal strength at your location. The modem works on a DATA card inside it. If there is no proper network then you can face fluctuation. The drop out of internet connection causes due to various reasons like loose connection, wrong misconfiguration settings, etc. Try to disable your internet connection first and then enable it back again.

It is recommended that the port you used to installed the modem must always be utilized. That means the usb port connection on your system. Always insert it in the common port only. Secondly check out by right clicking on the internet connection icon that there is manually added IP address is assigned. Put everything on automatic. Turn of any other program like fax service, etc at the time of live connection. If possible try to update your driver. Check out that there no warning marks on the modem in the Device Manager.
