How to Change Default Search Engine in Firefox

Hi,

I don't know what's happening worng, whenever I type something into the address bar and hit enter, instead of going to google, it is automatically redirected to wikipedia.com, it's very annoying. I honestly hate Yahoo!, and I was wondering whether someone could help me change my default search engine back to Google. Can anyone tell me, how to Change Default Search Engine in Firefox ???

If you want to set google as your Search Engine in Firefox, go to: Tools> Options> Main then enter the address in Google and set it as your home page or if you have Google on the screen at once, click 'Use current page.

To change yahoo or the any other search engine to google.com :

1. Go to about:config
2. Search for keyword.URL
3. Change the value to http://www.google.com/search?q=

I had the same problem, I found after doing web search that that : "Vendio Services Inc." have a folder that was must have installed on my computer called "Search Settings". and . EXE is called SearchSettings.exe. I uninstalled some freeware shortly after having tried to convert an FLV to AVI, and this Vedio settled with him. I uninstalled the program as well, there is a "res" folder the folder that says it is affiliated, or subsidiary same with Yahoo. After reading that Yahoo is the power switch browser search settings for people to use their own. So you need to delete it.
