Firefox 3.5 issues

Sponsored Links
Whenever I close Firefox 3.5 on computer running Windows 7, it never completely closes. It still runs in the background and I get the message that Firefox is still running when I try to shut down my computer. I am realyy fed up of this Firefox 3.5 version and almost decided to change to Chrome browser. Is there any one else who is experiencing the same problem with Firefox 3.5?

Re: Firefox 3.5 issues

Even I had similar issue with Firefox 3.5 and I finally decided to downgrade to 3.1 version. What happened was I noticed that Google Toolbar Bookmarks button is not compatible with my Firefox 3.5. But I needed this feature. I know that I had the option of using IE but I don't like new version of IE browser. It hangs my computer. I think going to the previous is the only solution for this.

Re: Firefox 3.5 issues

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 has number of problem associated with it such as wildcard SSL certificates usage which gives warnings such as "This Connection is Untrusted" when visiting some security site with https extention. This was the major cause of my swapping from Firefox to IE7. But in your case, I don't think this is the problem of Firefox. This could be some kind of bug with Windows 7 which doesn't either closes any running application or identify if the application has been closed. Your problem is newer to me.

Re: Firefox 3.5 issues

This is the problem with your add-ons. Try to open your Firefox in Safe mode and then disable all your add-ons. If the problem still persists then try to upgrade or reinstall your Firefox from Mozilla website. Firefox is not that much buggy and runs absolutely fine over here.
