Yahoo messenger automatically adds in startup

Hi guys, I have a yahoo messenger 9 installed on xp sp2. Its really wired that always i removes the yahoo messenger from the startup and it gets add on every next boot by itself. Is it happens with you all? If not then whats wrong with my xp? please help me..Thanks

1. First login in your messenger .
   
   
2. Go to Messenger -> Preferences
   
   
3. General -> uncheck the option "Automatically start the yahoo messenger".
   
   
4. Click on Apply and Exit. Now t shouldn't come in startup anymore.

If you removes it via Start -> Run and type "msconfig" in the prompt and hit enter. Go to the startup tab and uncheck Yahoo messenger. Though in some cases if the option is enabled in the Yahoo messenger it will add itself back to the list of startup items. You have to disable this option as mentioned above.

Thanks it worked for me. Finally this prevents Yahoo Messenger from automatically loading during computer start-up. Thanks to both of you for quick response.
