I am using Yahoo mail since long years and am still with it. Yesterday i also created an account with Google Gmail. Now there are lots of contact and address book saved in Yahoo that i need to export in Gmail. I have no idea of doing that. Could you guys please let me know how can i export my Yahoo contacts to Gmail ? help appreciated.

Its very simple. You can do it in just few minutes, just go through this simple steps:-
Login to your Yahoo account and In your Yahoo! Address Book, click the Import/Export link at the top right.
The Import/Export page opens.
In the Export section, click the Export Now button next to the name of the application to which you want to export your contact list.
Depending on your operating system, one or more messages appear prompting you to specify a file name and location for the export file.
Specify the import file name and location, and save the file.
Import the file into another application. Now import it to Gmail and you’re done!

In case you don't know how to import that saved file in Gmail, than just follow this steps:-
- Sign in to Gmail.
- Click Contacts (located below your list of views) on any Gmail page.
- Click Import in the top portion of the Contact Manager.
- Click the Browse... or Choose File button and locate the CSV file you'd like to upload.
- Select the file and click the Import button.
- Once you've successfully uploaded the document, Gmail will display the number of contacts imported.

To import contacts into Gmail you need to export a CSV file from your other mail account, and then import it into Gmail. Your CSV file should be formatted as a table and must include a header, or first line, that defines the fields in your table. Gmail accepts many common header fields (name, email address, etc.). If you're updating an existing file, you probably won't need to change your header field names.
