Test Credit Card Numbers for Paypal Account

Hi,

I made the two changes to my button script, logged into Developer Central and launched by sandbox account. In sandbox testing, why do I have to login in developer paypal account? It can automatically go to the payment page without asking us to login to paypal sandbox account. It seems that to test any payment, you have to create a business account and a personal account within sandbox. How do I Test my Credit Card Number for Paypal Account ??

You can follow these steps to generate a test credit card number for use in the access for either the paypal account optional payment flow or direct payment API:

1. log in to your developer central account with developer.paypal.com
2. click on Sandbox access TAB.
3. select one of your access accounts and click the "start access" button.
4. log in to this access account and go to the account profile.
5. click on credit cards .
6. click Add. A credit card number is generated for you on this next screen.
8. write down in the number and use it for testing.

Are the transactions going through successfully on the test server, or are they getting a result code 12 then to process a transaction on the test server with a real credit card number. Sometimes this happens, because either paypal thinks its risky or it has a bad report.

Generating a Credit Card Number to Test PayPal Account is Optional, To obtain a test credit card number for testing PayPal Account Optional:

1. Select a buyer’s test account and click Enter Sandbox Test Site.
2. Navigate to My Account > Profile.
3. Under the Financial Information header, click the Credit Cards link.
Make a note of the credit card number for your use in later testing.
