Why internet explorer 7 pauses when open new?

Hi,

I have this problem with newly installed windows internet explorer 7 on my machine. Why internet explorer 7 pauses when open new tab or window?
I don't understand the windows 5 or 10 seconds pause?
I hope someone will let me know if this is a sign of any threat to my system or a bug in IE7?

Hey even I am facing this problem with IE 7 from last couple of days. But its a bit different the pause happens when I open a new tab that means not the program. After every time I open i.e. in a new window loading is it breaks for 10 seconds. The actual program opens immediately - but just sit there (nothing in status bar.) When I open a new tab, there is the problem. If I already i.e. have and open a new window open, there is the problem.

Have you checked the add-ons are enabled or disabled? What windows version you have? 32 bit or 64 bit?

You have most likely a problem with pre-installed program like yahoo or google toolbar: I recommend uninstalling anything "iexplorer toolbar" related or installing anti-spyware software and running it to clear any potential spyware issues.
Try this: 1. Launch i.e. 7 without add-ons by start-> Add button, All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons). 2. Click "Tools" from the toolbar and then select "Internet Options". 3. Click "Programs.
