Saving chat history on new MSN Live Messenger

Hello Good Morning


I have grabbed the latest version of MSN Live Messenger.It is working fine but facing a issue with a chat history.I could not view my chat history with a certain contacts.When I visit it suppose to be saved but can't see anything.This is a fresh notebook and I shifted my old files from my other laptop onto this new one, don't know if this has anything to do with it. What's wrong? How can I save my messages? Please help me out

I need to tell you one thing If you don't have a check mark to say save in you windows live messenger it then you wont have a history. it is in options/tools.else it could be a problem with Windows since I'm having difficulty maximizing windows.

You may look this option
Tools > Options > Messages and check 'Automatically keep a history of my conversations'.alternatively you can uninstall the messenger and install a fresh one and check out you have the issues

I discovered the Message History files in the My Received Files folder! In there, they are actual XML files! They open amazingly there!.But I'm still perplexed why attempting to open the window by right-clicking their name gets stuck on the task-bar. It's a another kind of window than an internet explorer window....has a a Windows Live Messenger frame design to it. I'm thinking if my glitch might have something to do with
