Cable modem keeps losing connection

Hi friends,
I have cable internet connection. It is connected to the modem provided by my internet service provider. But from past few days my internet connection was dropping continuously. I don't have any idea about it. Can someone help?

Your modem may be not working properly. Try using different modem. Get your current modem replaced by your service provider. Check all the cables connecting your computer and modem. If all are working fine then it must be modem that is causing drop outs. Get some technical help on that from local hardware store.

If you have any software firewall or something like that. Then you may get dropout while accessing some insecure sites. Try to reset all the network connection. There may be some maintenance work going in your area. Check it with your service provider and keep track of that.

It can be a virus infection. Get a good antivirus and scan your full system. Also check for malware and adware. You will get some problems regarding transferring data if your hard drive is full or may not have enough space. So defrag your drive and check the transfer rates.
