Problem loading page message

I'm using firefox and for most of the websites i'm getting problem loading pages. The net connection is fine, i checked by the ping command. My yahoo messenger is also working fine. Then whats wrong while opening the websites. Please help me to make Firefox fine.

Can you say the name of the websites for which you getting this error? In Tools -> Options -> Content tab, do you have the 'block popup windows' box checked, Check your security software and hosts file to see if it's being blocked.

Go to TOOLS menu , Clear the private data, and unchecked everything, clear the cache , Temporarily disable your Firewall, and see if that helps. If so then reconfigure the Firewall. Do the same for your AntiVirus program. Delete the XUL.mfl file. It will be rebuilt on opening Firefox.

• Start the firefox in safe mode.
• This will disables all themes and will run in default theme.
• If it works, disable all your add-ons (Tools -> Add-ons).
