How to allow Websites to use ActiveX Controls

Sponsored Links
hello everyone,

I am using Internet Explorer 7 as my internet web browser. Everytime I start the internet, the only thing that appears in my information bar is the following error message:
"Your security settings do not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly. Click here for options…"

Also, it doesn't allow me to click any Options. What should I do ?
Can anybody please suggest me how to allow websites to use ActiveX controls..//

You can follow the instructions below :
  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click on Tools Menu
  • Select Internet Options
  • Under Security Tab, change it To DEFAULT
  • Now, try running it again.
  • You will find several ActiveX controls at the top that pop-ups and you will have to click on it in order to allow on a per site basis.
  • Right click and select Allow.

TRY this -- first disable prompt, allow activex scripting and downloads etc, and allow all ActiveX components in Internet Explorer security settings. Also
add microsoft.com to trusted sites. Then, turnoff Windows firewall as well as
turn off Popup Blocker. Make sure no spyware software is installed and turnoff AV software

Re: How to allow Websites to use ActiveX Controls

I am also using the IE browser, same as you do and I am getting some warning saying that the site was blocked. When I click there, it asks me to download Active X this time. It downloads it and only then I can use that site. Everytime I visit a site, I have to do this . Because the security zones will block this again, I'll have to do this everytime. Well, it just takes seconds with my broadband connection.
