Any way to remove New Tab Button In Firefox 3.5

Hope you all guys have also used the latest version of Firefox that is the new 3.5. I downloaded Firefox 3.5 and am using it now as my default browser since its release. Its really nice except the one annoying thing. Like Internet Explorer, it also has a Plus sign to open a new tab. I really don't want it to be there. Is there any way to remove this New tab's Plus sign from the tab bar ?

Yes, we can remove the new tab plus sign from the tab bar easily from the Firefox 3.5 by adding a line to the userChrome.css file in your Firefox profile folder. For doing this steps differ form OS to OS. So before making you know the steps i need to know on which Operating system you are using this version.

I am using this browser on my Windows 7 Operating system and the Firefox profile folder is situated in C drive program files.

• On windows 7, Open windows Explorer and navigate to the following folder:
  
  

  \Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[profile.default]\chrome

• Here, you need to add a empty file and name it as userChrome.css
  
  
• Right click this file, go to option and click on Open With and select Notepad.
  
  
• Now copy and paste this code in the following notepad:
  

  .tabs-newtab-button {display: none;}

• Now close this file after saving and restart the Firefox browser.

Thats it. You are done.

You can also remove it more easily by just adding an add-on to your firefox browser. The add-on you need to install is Remove New Tab Button.It removes the new tab button from the tab strip.
