eBuddy, is an instant messaging service that can have use both the Internet and mobile phones. It aims to consolidate the majority of the web messaging used within a service: Msn Messenger, Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, ICQ, MySpace and Facebook. The service is free and requires no download, no software installation, no update and no registration. According to the Google Zeitgeist? ebuddy? was the 7th term with the highest growth in terms of research on the years 2007 (just behind and Youtube to Second Life) and after he made Alexa's Top 700 Global (its traffic is quite comprehensive, it does not depend really a particular geographical area).

the best solution is through a multi-protocol software. Windows users have IM Miranda or Pidgin. but On the Mac, Adium is a model. The software supports all major protocols: MSN, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber and Google Talk are supported (for text messaging only, of course). Adium's interface is clear and pleasant , conversation windows can be customized according to several themes that range from the more sober than the colorful ( "flower power so Austin Powers). Best of all, Adium is compatible with Macs Intel processor.
Adium is often cited as a must and its reputation is not misused. If you are looking for a messaging software compatible with many protocols and pleasant to use, look no further!

Trillian is the most successful instant client messaging , Trillian by a rather ambitious project, also carried by GAIM or Miranda: it proposes to replace all the tools of instant messaging clients: ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Mesenger, AOL Instant Messenger and even IRC. Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It provides capabilities not possible with original network clients, while supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification, direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ), SMS support, and privacy settings. Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications.
