Right click closes web browser

When I right click on files I get the following message
internet explorer has stopped working.
this happens even when i'm offline
Any help would be appreciated

First of can you tell us which version of internet explorer browser you are using and what Operating System is installed on your pc? Have you recently installed any IE plug-in or used Registry Cleaners or have you manually attempted to clean the registry yourself ? You may have to repair your Windows installation by booting to Operating System Cd/DVD and choosing Repair option if it will not cause you any inconvenience.
