Adobe Plugin for Mozilla Firefox

Hi,

I am using windows xp as operating system. My problem is that, I am unable to download Adobe Flash Player 10. When I try to download from adobe website, the download does not start automically, it gives me the option save or cancel. After clicking on Save, I get a message saying that Firefox must be closed before Adobe Flash Player plugin can be installed. so I restarted my pc but it keeps on giving the message. I have closed all my browsers and programs. I am running firefox 3.0.4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Adobe Plugin for Mozilla Firefox

After installing Adobe Flash Player is automatically detected by SeaMonkey, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Google Chrome. Try to running the Flash installer with administrator rights (right click: Run as).

You need to install the Flash plugin:
  • Download Adobe Flash Player from Adobe download page.

  • Click the Agree and install now button, to download the installer.

  • After you've downloaded the installer file, double-click it and then follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Restart Firefox.

Re: Adobe Plugin for Mozilla Firefox

There are two Flash players offered for Windows users: the Flash ActiveX control for Internet Explorer/AOL and the Flash plugin for Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape/Opera browsers. Each must be installed separately, since the Flash plugin installer does not add the ActiveX control and vice versa. In other words, it's possible to have the Flash 8 plugin installed for Mozilla browsers and the Flash 9 ActiveX control installed for Internet Explorer, and both will work.
