IE7 hangs up in new window

When I click a link on a web page and it is setup to load the page in a new window/tab, IE hangs up in that window or new tab and not respond. Then it turns blank. Then I have to press crtl alt del to shut it. I never have more than about 10 TABS. I have even tried disabling Non Verified Add Ons as others have tried to no avail. I have Win XP on my system.

Opera and other browsers works fine, no matter how many times I open and close the window. Any ideas/suggestions?

Try resetting Internet Explorer. When you reset Internet Explorer settings, all add-ons and customizations are deleted, and you basically start with a fresh version of Internet Explorer.

To reset Internet Explorer automatically, click the Fix this problem link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in this wizard.

You need to Run IE with No Add-ons, to do this follow the steps below

    • Click on Start
    • Then Copy and paste Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) into Start Search box
    • Press Enter Button
    • Change the cookie settings and have a test.

To solve your problem you need to Start Windows in Clean Boot mode. You need to logged in as an administrator, go to start, click on Run, type msconfig, and press enter. Then go to services tab and put tick on Hide All Microsoft Services and then click disable all. Click OK and restart your computer.
