Restore down button doesn't work with Internet Explorer 8

I had installed Windows Xp on my pc. Currently i'm using Internet Explorer 8 as my web brower. The problem is that when i use the 'restore down' button in the browser, it automatically gets minimizes and after that it disappears off the screen. In order to bring it back, i have to right click on the application on the task bar and then need to choose maximize. Everytime i have to do this process in order to get back the restore down button. Can any body tell me that why restore down button does not work with Internet Explorer 8? Does any body knows about it? Kindly help me out to get rid of the above issue.

It seems to be that your add-on is been messing things up on your system. Try to use your Internet Explorer with No Add-ons, which you will find it on your Start Menu under All Programs--> Accessories--> System Tools. If this work out for you, then you can troubleshoot it in your normal Internet Explorer connections by selecting Tools menu --> Manage Add-ons --> Enable or disable Add-ons.

Follow these steps to resolve the problem.

    Step I

    1. Right-click on the Taskbar and then need to click on Properties

    2. Then you need to select the Start Menu tab.

    3. Afterwards you need to select the Start menu option and need to click on Customize.

    4. Afterwards, your need to click on the E-mail drop down box and then select your mail client.

Important: If your mail client is already showing up as the default option, you still need to click the drop down menu and select the item. Otherwise the setting will not be saved correctly.

    5. Finally click on OK tab.

    Step II

Note: You need to login as Administrator or equivalent to perform the following steps.

    1. Firstly open up your Internet Explorer.

    2. Then need to click on the Tools menu and then choose Internet Options.

    3. Then you need to click on the Programs tab.

    4. Then select your mail client from the drop down box.

    5. Afterwards click on OK in order to close the dialog box.

You need to hit on the reduce button, then need to place your mouse at one corner of the Window in order to get the double-headed arrow. Then you need to do a left-click and try to grab and alter the dimensions to the one you want. After completing the process you need to hit file and then need to close down your Windows.

If it doesn't resolve your above issue, the best way to get rid of the above issue you can uninstall Internet Explorer 8 from your system. Then try to reinstall it back on your system and check out whether you still face the same problem or not on your system.
