Peer guardian 2 educational block list

Hi,

I am using PeerGuardian 2 is Methlabs premier IP blocker for Windows. PeerGuardian 2 is the safest and easiest way to protect your privacy on P2P. Plus, by integrating with Blocklist.org, lists are built custom just for you. but When I am downloading some things, it goes really slow so I check PG2 for what it is blocking. A lot of times it is just a bunch of universities, and I was wondering how harmful or risky it is to let those educational IPs through. It is worth to block those government and other universities ?

yes you can block the government and other education lists, you only need to block education lists if you're part of the university and then only that universities range(s) although you'll prob need to make some perm allows in this situation.

you can use the Blocklist Manager, which has all of the lists that aren't mentioned in Peer guardian 2. This list contains all known Educational institutions / University IP ranges. The list also contains all known Government / Military / Science / Research Labs and Bad Education facilities IP addresses collected by the Bluetack Team.

If you already have Peer guardian 2 installed in your pc then uninstall and reinstall, and while reinstalling Check the boxes marked Ads, Spyware, Government and Educational. When you open peer guardian, the lists take a little longer to update but there is a much broader selection for privacy. Set up your torrent client as suggested by your favourite site, and you are good to go.
