Some are not aware of the main difference between http:// and Https:// HTTP stands for Hypertext Transport Protocol, which is just a way of , Let say it is a protocol (a language, a way of speaking) for Information transmitted between Web servers and clients. The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS. The S (big surprise) stands for Secure Mean the Connection is Secure

Re: Difference between http and https?

HTTPS is HTTP + SSL. This protocol is included in virtually all browsers, and allows you (for example) may access your bank accounts through the web in a secure manner. There are some primary differences between http and https, however, beginning with the default port, which is 80 for http and 443 for https. Https works by transmitting normal http interactions through an encrypted system, so that in theory, the information cannot be accessed by any party other than the client and end server. There are two common types of encryption layers: Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), both of which encode the data records being exchanged.

Re: Difference between http and https?

If you visit a website or web page,Then You can look in the address bar of the browser, if the adress Starts with the following: http:// This means that the site is in communication with your browser Using Http protocol , Which is not secure , In other words, it is possible for someOne (an intruder) to see your conversation with the website On your computer . If you Fill out a form on the site, someone could see Information that you send to this site. This is why you should never enter your pin number on the site created in an http protocol But if the Web site address Begins with https: //, then it means that your computer Conversation with the website in safe and that nobody can See what you do on your computer.
