setup.exe has stopped working

hey i have 3 broadband when i try to uninstall it it comes up setup.exe has stopped working does anyone know how to fix this??? its installed on my laptop and i need to get rid of it because it stopped working

This behavior can be caused by software conflict. I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. Then try to install again. See here for more help Setup.exe has stopped working

I had such problem and i solved that problem for me by dumping the upgrade I did installed Vista as a custom install from XP.another option try to work in safe mode also scan for viruses because if you infected there may be virus that took the charge of application see here Rootkits danger and prevention

• Login as Admistrator
  
• Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Manage.
  
• In the console tree, click Services and Applications, and then click Services.
  
• In the details pane, right-click Windows Installer, and then click Start.
