    Is iMesh safe to use?

    Hi,
I want to download some applications from p2p sharing programs. I have downloaded and installed iMesh. Is is safe to download from and allow others to upload in iMesh? Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance.

I don't think, it is safe. All p2p networks have some or more risks. None of them are safe. iMesh client are connecting to the fastrack network witch also Kazaa and grokster connect to. So it in not safe. All similar programs connect to the same network use the same protocol and have the same problems.

Yes, it is safe. I can say that because users are using it and it is still running. If it is not safe nobody is going to use it. But downloading ant copyrighted material is not safe. Downloading such material is is illegal and totally disregards all data protection laws.

It is safe to use. There were some problems in the past with spyware and virus. But when the sued by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), they turned to legal business model and built new improved system. You can legally download free material.

Hi, I work for iMesh and I want to clarify things for you:
iMesh is about music, you can download music with imesh but you cannot download applications.
This makes imesh safe as you never install things you download so you do not get infected by viruses or any other type of malware.
iMesh is also 100% legal (approved by RIAA and the music labels).
It will only allow you to download non copyright protected content.
iMesh is no longer using the Fasttrack or the Gnutella networks (it did until few years ago).
