Add-ons missing when installed Windows SP 2

    hi,

Last week, I had installed Service Pack 2 in my Windows operating system. After this, I discovered that some of the add-ons are not listed in the manage add-ons dialog box in the Internet Explorer. Before installing service pack 2 everything was fine. Can anybody help me where I can find these missing add-ons in Internet Explorer ?

    thanks

You can download the following file from the Microsoft Download Center :
    Download File

The file is stored on the security-enhanced servers that help prevent any unauthorized changes to the file. Microsoft has scanned this file for viruses and used the most current virus-detection software.

Try to start Internet Explorer directly from its executable -
    >> Program Files
    >> Internet Explorer
    >> Double-click on iexplore.exe

and check whether the add-ons are still missing from the Tool menu...

The reason for occurrence of such an issue is - A flag is set in the registry during the installation of certain add-ons, that prevents the add-on from being managed through the Manage Add-ons dialog box.
