Need help with the tabs in Safari 4

Hi .. i am using Safari 4 as my default browser. As you all might be knowing that Safari 4 has the tabs located at the very top of the browser window. While in Safari 3, it is located at the tab bar.

Can i move tabs to the tab bar in safari 4 as well?

Yes, you can make the tabs look like as in safari 3 browser. To do so:-

Open Terminal.

Execute the following command:

defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4TabBarIsOnTop -bool NO

Restart Safari. If you don’t see the Tab Bar, go to the Menu, click on View and select Show Tab Bar.

To return the tabs back to their original position, open Terminal and execute the following command:

defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4TabBarIsOnTop -bool YES

Thats it !! You are done.

I think the tabs on top approach is intended to show the tabs open across multiple open Safari 4 windows without you having to click on the underneath windw, or they're simply copying Google's Chrome.

$ defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4TabBarIsOnTop -bool NO
