IE redirects to res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll

Since last two days, while surfing on internet explorer, my IE browser automatically redirects the page to this address “res://C:\WINDOWS\seystem32\shdoclc.dll\400.htm”. Not just this, the home page also becomes the same address.

Could any one of you help me in fixing this problem ? Please, its much annoying.

Well, try tis steps to solve the problem:-

1. Clean up all the temporary and waste files from the computer including the cookies and offline content. For that you can make use of “Disk Cleanup” utility in Windows.

2. Uninstall all the toolbars, if any, from the browser.

3. Run regedit to open the Registry Editor.

4. Navigate to the following key (you are likely to find this

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main and look for the key Default_Page_URL on the right side and delete it.

Now reboot the system. Hope it fix the problem....

Go To Safe Mode ( tap F8 on Startup) Place a check next to each of these and click Fix Checked.
