    Serious issues with rapimgr.exe

I am under Windows XP Pro. Now a days I am facing some serious issues with rapimgr.exe which is taking upto 100% CPU time on every startup. Can anyone tell me what it is all about? How to remove rapimgr.exe? Anybody else came across this problem, and/or know how to resolve it?

    Re: Serious issues with rapimgr.exe

rapimgr.exe is a process associated with the ActiveSync software from Microsoft. ActiveSync is a software used to synchronize data on your PC with a mobile system such as a pocket PC or a mobile phone.

So there is no need to remove it. You may need it with time. However if you you have decided to remove it and don't want to use it then just proceed.

Rapimgr is associated with ActiveSync. May have an IP address as a placeholder for passthrough internet to a handheld terminal. Needed if you connect handheld devices or phones to your PC, otherwise not needed. Usually needs to be downloaded from Microsoft for it to be on a PC (not sure about Vista).
