Setup Hotmail on iPhone

hi friends.. My family gifted me a iPhone last week. I need to set up my new iphone to check my hotmail account, as i need hotmail account very much.

So could you guys have any suggestion or trick to do so ?

To access Windows Live Hotmail emails on your iPhone, please try the following steps:-

1. Tap Settings > Mail > Add Account > Other

2. Enter Name, Hotmail Address (Your Live ID), Hotmail Password.You may get an error message saying that you will need to be a Windows Live Hotmail Plus Subscriber. If you see this message, please press "OK" to ignore the message. Pop3 service is not available for free for all Hotmail customers.

3. Click "Save". Your account will be automatically configured at this point without further action from you.

4. Now please go to the IPhone mail client and start downloading your pop3 messages. The first download from our pop3 servers could take up to 5 minutes for the first sync.

If for some reason the phone does not auto populate the server information, please use the following server settings:

• Pop3 Server: pop3.live.com (Port: 995)
• SMTP Server: smtp.live.com (Port: 25)

Advanced Settings:

• Incoming Uses SSL: On
• Outgoing Uses SSL: On
• Authentication: Password
• Delete from Server: When removed from inbox

Remember POP3 access is must to set Hotmail mail on iPhone. The only way to get that is to upgrade to a premium account for $19.95 a year. There's no way to do it online - you need to call the number 1-800-494-2962 to have them set it up over the phone.

Account Information:
Name: John Smith (note: enter your own name)
Address: example@hotmail.com (note: enter your full Hotmail email address)
Description: Hotmail

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: pop3.live.com
User Name: example@hotmail.com (note: enter your full Hotmail email address)
Password: password (note: enter your Hotmail password)

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
Host Name: smtp.live.com
User Name: example@hotmail.com (note: enter your full Hotmail email address)
Password: password (note: enter your Hotmail password)
