    Lost passwords from Firefox update

    Hello,

Firefox has installed an update recently and I lost all my passwords. Worse, the function which asks me if I want to save a password or not is not even proposed, although the option is checked in the settings. Gmail Manager no longer does my passwords. What if you like it?

    Good evening,

Already checks if the passwords are always listed in Tools> Options> Security> Passwords saved. If there are more and you do not have a backup of your profile Firefox, it is feared they are lost.

Look at whether you can again save passwords with the Safe Mode Firefox:If yes, give us a list of your extensions (Tools> Add-ons> Extensions).

If not better, results as follows:
    1. Type about: config in the address bar of firefox> Entry
    2. Promises not to break
    3. Search signon.debug and javascript.options.showInConsole lines and double-clicked to change the value to "true" (lines then pass in bold).
    4. Tools> Error Console, [Clear], [messages] and leaves open in the background
    5. Go to a login page where a password should be registered and copy / paste us the output that starts with "Login Manager".

First, thank you for your answer. I had already looked at whether mdp were listed or not, and there was nothing at all. The losing is not a problem in itself, it's just that Firefox does not want me to save anything , and Gmail Manager is the same. I tried safe mode but same.

In your profile folder: C: \ Documents and Settings \ window\ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ <Name of profil> \, delete the files delete signons3.txt and key3.db, then restarts Firefox.

preferably with Firefox closed. With luck it will recover those of Firefox 2 (the signons2.txt).
