    How to save web pages in .mht firefox?

    Hi all,
    I use latest version of Firefox. I can save web pages in .mht format in internet explorer. Is there an extension that would allow Firefox to save webpages in .mht format?

    Thank you.

    Try this:
    • Download the extension. Download but don’t install. To override Firefox default installer either paste the link in your download manager or open this link in any browser other than Firefox. Since it won’t install on FF saying compatibility problems.
    • Rename the downloaded file maf-0.6.3.xpi to maf-0.6.3.zip
    • Open the zip file using Winzip or any zip utility
    • Extract install.rdf file
    • Open install.rdf file and find this code:
      <!– Firefox –>
      <em:targetApplication>
      <Description>
      <em:id>{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}</em:id>
      <em:minVersion>1.5</em:minVersion>
      <em:maxVersion>1.5</em:maxVersion>
      </Description>
      </em:targetApplication>
    • In above code, change: <em:maxVersion>1.5</em:maxVersion> to <em:maxVersion>3.0</em:maxVersion>
    • Save install.rdf and put the new install.rdf back in maf-0.6.3.zip replacing the old one.
    • Rename maf-0.6.3.zip to maf-0.6.3.xpi

    now open the xpi file with firefox if xpi is not set to open with Firefox. Install the extension and it will work for you.

    Re: How to save web pages in .mht firefox?

    MHT is a very useful file format for saving HTML web pages and all embedded graphics into a single file. The UnMHT makes MHT support in Firefox. With Un-MHT, you can read any MHT files in Firefox just like any other HTML or text page. Other than viewing MHT files, this add-in adds a "Save all tabs as MHT" feature that lets you save the current window or all open websites as separate MHT files in one go taking the file name from title of the web pages.

    EZ Save MHT will allow you to save any web site as a standard .MHT web archive file with a single click.
    WebArchives are complete web pages with images and all, but saved as a single, standalone file (.mht).
