    Invalid Username And Password while dialing to broadband

    Hey guys!
    I have a broadband connection in mumbai. I have a weird problem that just started yesterday. Whenever i dial to my ISP it returns me Error 691: Invalid Username or Password. I didn't change any configuration and my username and password are already saved...! But still i can't connect to the internet...!
    Help guys!

    Hey...!
    There is nothing to worry about...! Just do the following steps :
    • Right-Click on My Network Places
    • Properties
    • Create New Connection [located at top-left corner]
    • Now follow the wizard and create a new connection
    • Enter your details [username, password, service name ISP/Connection name]
    • Now Dial the connection


    Note: Delete the previous connection before creating the new one...!

    Hey!
    Thanks but that didn't help too...! I have changed my LAN card, can that be an issue? Is my new LAN card giving me issues...? Ideleted the previous connection and installed the drivers for my new LAN card, Now Created a new connection and still the same problem...! Grrr.... Help guys!
    This is frustrating me... I have to Visit to a stinking cyber cafe for surfing internet...!

    Hey...!
    LAN Card changed...! Got the problem now...! Here in Mumbai, ISP locks the MAC Address or Physical Address of the LAN card with your IP address if you have static IP. If you have dynamic IP, then the ISP will bind the MAC address on your Username and Password, so that it can't be used elsewhere except on your computer... Now that you have a new LAN card, it's MAC Address has changed. You need to call your ISP and tell them to change the MAC address as you have a new LAN card...! This will resolve your issue...! All the best...!

    yes! It is your LAN Card. The only way out is you contact your service provider and ask for assistance!
