Unable to see a file attached to an email

Hello,

I want to open a file attached to an email I have a message "no program associated with this file to execute this action create a association using the Folder Options in Control Panel" I try but I did not understand what was that means?

HI,

You go through "control panel "-->" Folder Options" and you creat the link between the extension of your attached file and a program (OpenOffice for. Doc for example) or (faster in my opinion You register your attachments on your PC, you put your cursor above, right click, open with ... "choose the program and you check" Always use this program for this type of file. "The next time you able to directly open your attachment from your mailbox.

An email attachment you receive may not be in a format that you are able to view if you do not have a program installed on your computer that can be associated with the attachment's file extension. For example, a file with an .eml should open with Outlook Express on a default system. A file with a .doc extension can be opened with Microsoft Word. Any .htm ot .html attachment would open Internet Explorer or another browser such as Netscape. If you do not have a program installed on your computer that is associated with the file type, you will be prompted to Open with ?. Note that file formats supported by the Macintosh Operating System may not be supported by PC Operating Systems.
