By the sound of things, your computer needs updating, if you don't have ActiveX on your PC. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install all updates, I'm sure ActiveX will be in one of those updates.

Also go through this link: http://zone.msn.com/en/support/article/support3801.htm

The problem seems to be that your IE is blocking the downloading of ActiveX controls: you may need to adjust your Security settings in IE. Click on Start Menu =>Control Panel =>Internet Options =>Security =>Custom Level =>All the stuff under 'ActiveX controls and plug-ins'. There are two options that control downloads: set the signed one to 'Prompt', and see if the game prompts you to install the control needed.

Also double check your personal Firewall privacy settings and remove any rules it has set relative to MSN. Then close and reopen Messenger and try to start a game. You should get a confirmation dialog to permit or block activex controls. Click on permit. Hope it will work.

This issue happens when a Security Level too high in Internet Explorer. To be able to play with the MSN games, you have to allow MSN to install several ActiveX but the software eDataSecurity have a conflict with such ActiveX self-installation. Follow these steps to solve this problem:
    • Uninstall the eDataSecurity software via the "Add/Remove programs" function of the Windows "Control Pannel".
    • Launch a game in MSN & accept the proposed ActiveX installations.
    • Re-install eDataSecurity if needed.
