MSN error code 80040111

Hello,

I has a windows xp and I encounter a problem with the connection to msn messenger.

In fact when I try to write my email address that appears with a minute's delay. thereafter when I attempt the connection an error message appears saying that the connection is impossible because of the error 80040111.

I do not understand because when downloading messenger 7.5 configurations are made automatically.
However the old version of msn did not disappear and I could remove that in safe mode.
However, I still can not connect.

I had the same problem and I solved by doing this:

Re-register the DLL files:

1. On the taskbar, click Start, then Run.
2. Type Regsvr32%windir%\system32\msxml3.dll, and then click OK.

Reinstall the XML parser:

1. Visit website to download the Microsoft XML parser.
2. Msxml3.msi click at the bottom of the page.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Then restart the computer, then log on to Messenger.

To fix the error 8004888d, which also may be associated with the inability to enter into hotmail, we must first verify that the time and system date are correct.

If the above does not work another possible solution to the problem is to do the following:

Go to Start -> Run -> and type regsvr32 softpub.dll

Then the same with this:

regsvr32Wintrust.dll
