Internet explorer hangs frequently

Hi,

I have Windows XP Installed on my home computer and having the internet connection to surf on the internet, for surfing i used IE 7 which hangs frequently, when i open multiple sites in the same IE window and wanted to switch to other site on the other tab nothing on that page and not even tab is working i have to go to other application and then again have to come back to switch over to other tab in the IE,This is something ridiculous things are happening with me.

please help...

Installing IE7 may have corrupted your system, even though it is not suppose to do so.

1. Check if an addon is interfering with access to website. Disable Addons. If you have Windows XP SP2, go to Tools > Add-on Manager, and uncheck the addons.
   If using Windows XP SP1 or earlier, disable third party extensions. With IE open, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Uncheck "Third party extensions". Click Ok. Reboot computer.
   
2. Reset IE settings. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Programs. Click on "Reset Web Settings" button. Go to Advanced tab and click "Restore Defaults" button. Go to Security tab and move the bar to Medium or Default. Click OK. Close all browsers. Reboot the computer.
   
3. Check if a program running in the background is interfering with Internet Explorer. Temporarily disable antivirus, firewall, antispyware, ad-blocker, popup blocker, and all Norton programs.
   
4. Repair or reinstall Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP

Have you installed any add ons recently? Flash Player is known to not be
compatible, try installing latest version or disable it if its currently installed from Tools > Manage Add-Ons.

If that does not work, try resetting your Internet Explorer settings > go to Tools > Options > Advanced > under 'Reset Internet Explorer settings > Reset.

The solution is to disable the Skype add-ons with in Internent Explorer 7.0. Open Internet Explorer > Click on Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Add-Ons button. Then find the Skype Add-On and disable them.

i think that is virus problem.
