Problem with Firefox Windows

Hi,

I am using firefox latest version in my laptop. It was working fine from last 1 year. But recently, I am unable to open a 2nd firefox window. When I am clicking on Firefox icon, I could able to view my homepage and am able to open as many tabs as I can...but when i am trying to open a nwe window it is not opening. Even if I am trying to open a lhyperlink in a webpage in new window, it is not coming up. I am able to see only one window. Can any one of you let me know how this is to be solved?

I had a complete virus scan on my system and there is no problem.

Have you tried reinstalling Firefox again?

Hello , try making a new profile and see what happens.Here The link about how to create new profiles http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles If you are still having problems after you use a new profile, try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Be sure you back up your bookmarks and import them into your new profile and please let us know what happens.

Hello it Could be that skype extension 2.2.0.102 Would be the Cause of this problem. Try disabling this extension with 3.0.6 It might Solve Your Problem, thanks

It happens because of ghost or zombie Firefox running. Open your Taskmanager (Alt+ Ctrl+Del) and check the Process Tab. Check for firefox.exe Process - should be only one. If there is any a zombie or ghost running, then End that Process. And try to open new window.

Hi,

It was infact the problem with Skype add-on in firefox. I have uninstalled it and now I am able to open multiple firefox windows...
