Hello
I have this problem with my Vista that the linksys router is not being recognized.
I can't see my router under networking in vista. I have my laptop which shows the ip but my Pc don't see the router what to do?
Try this:
Here's my fix: >Control Panel, >Device Manager, >Network Adapaters, Expand then right click on adapter and Select Properties, >Advanced Tab, >Speed and duplex settings. I tried some different settings and the fastest that worked was 'Autonegotiate for 10FD' (10 Mbs Full Duplex).

Good Luck,
Here is how i connected the router to my modem so please check these steps!
Using an Ethernet cable, connect one end to the Ethernet port of your modem and the other end to the “Internet”/WAN of the Linksys router. (NOTE:Look at the back of the router, there is a label named “INTERNET” port.)
Using another Ethernet cable, connect one end to one of the Ethernet/LAN ports of the Linksys router and the other end to the Ethernet/LAN port of your PC. (NOTE: At the back of the Linksys router, there are numbered ports like 1,2,3,4. Those are the Ethernet ports)
Make sure the power adapter of your router is plugged to a power outlet.

You can try to reset the router. Press and hold the rest button for about 2 minutes. After that turn off the computer first, after that the router, and then after the router, the modem. Wait for two minutes. Turn on the modem first. Then wait until all the lights in the modem are stable. Then after that turn on the linksys router. Wait until the internet light is stable. Then turn on your computer. Check if you have internet.
