My mozilla firefox keeps crashing after i installed 3.0.5

Guys need help! i just installed a newer version of firefox that is : 3.0.6, but it keeps crashing. so i switched to firefox 3.0.5 again, but now even this version keeps on crashing! help guys! i don't trust internet explorer and i don't want to switch to any other browser as i've been using firefox for a long time now! Help!

Whats extensions and pluguin have you recently installed? any one of them might create issues too. Try disabling one plugin/extension at a time and see whats the out come? hope this helps you to solve your problems! All the Best!

i didn't install any plugin or extension, i just installed AVG antivirus. Can that create a problem in the functioning of firefox? i don't think so! AVG is an antivirus program which is meant to solve issues and not create one! Shall i try disabling it??

Yeah Man! AVG was the cause! actually not the AVG Antivirus program but it installed AVG Safe Search extension and that was causing these crashes in firefox! Thanks man! You're a savior! Thanks once again!
