    Receiving a virus on msn

I just got a messsage on msn from someone I know, it was a link.
Running the file my antivirus detected a "Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic" ...

I launched the AVG antivirus found 6 infections type Trojan Horse ...

My question is who? who sent the virus since it is not the person I know? antivirus I have is it effective against such viruses?
    Thank you in advance.

It is possible that the computer that you sent this message is infected with a virus that attempts to spread by itself.

put your updated antivirus, Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and do a scan with each failure mode.

    Bye!

I'll add that even the best anti virus is not to open emails or links in messages from unknown

"Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" are two antispyware software. It would be worthwhile to use for a scan to ensure there are no more signs of infection.

These two software to download and install. Thereafter, you put them up to date, you start Windows in Safe mode and you do a scan with each of them.
