Go to the FTP server on Windows Vista

You can create a shortcut to your FTP space to access them very quickly to manage your files. Click on Start and then click Computer.

    • Right click the mouse in the right window and the menu that appears, click Add a network location

    • The wizard Adding a network location opens. Click Next

    • Select Choose a custom network location and click Next.

    • Enter now the FTP address of your space and click Next.

    • If you do address this point, read the help below

    • Example:

      • To access a server that requires a user name and password, type the address as follows:

        • ftp:// login:password @ server address
        • login: represents the user name
        • password: your password

    • Enter a name for your network location to easily recognize and then click Next.

    • Click on Finish.

You are now connected to your FTP space. You can manage files like any other window in Windows Explorer.

In the Computer window, is now your network location. You just now click on it to access at any time. You can even create a shortcut that put you where you want.

    Note:
Be careful with the shortcuts, since anyone clicking on the shortcut, go to your FTP space.

thank you for the tip, but when I click on "add network location " no window opens ... would there be another way to reach the window configuration? Thank you
