Cannot download from Internet explorer

I was trying to download Avg from internet Explorer i was not allowing me to download the Software. I am facing this issue from many days.I had also tried to download any other software by still facing same issue can anyone help me out or provide me with a good solution

Sure i will help you out with this issue did you try to install Mozilla Firefox and does it allowing to download.

Yes i tried that also but of no use.I am using Internet Explorer 5.5 Is this could be an Issue.

I was also facing the same issue with Internet explorer 6 and i tried to install a fresh copy of Internet Explorer 8 and it worked for me hope it will work for you too.Click on the below link for downloading IE 8.

Whats the error that you are getting? Any error at all?
You can check in event logs for any errros as to give a clue of why its happening.
