No audio for flash oriented sites why?

Hello,
I know my speakers are working fine & no problem with the sound card too.
When I visit any particular site which is flash oriented then the video loads fine but there is no audio for the same.
Can you tell me what could be the reason for this?

Apparently this problem isn't only in Windows. We have linux machines and half have stopped getting audio from sites using Flash 9. I also have heard grumblings in the Mac world......

It is definitely a Flash Player problem.

Just noticed this problem today. Tried to watch a video on Facebook and was able to see the video but got no sound. Went to YouTube and got video but no sound. I have sound in all my other browsers when watching video.

OS: WinXP SP2
Flock: Version 2.0

My friend who is an undergrad IT student and who had spent hours making his kid brother’s Mac audio work again offered this and it worked. This is for OS-X

1. Open Hard Drive
2. Open “applications”
3. Open “utilities”
4. Open “audio MIDI setup”
5. Select Audio Devices tab
6. Find “Audio Output”
7. Note that Adobe Flash has change setting to 96000.0 Hz.
8. Reset to 44100.0 (2ch-16Bit)
9. Back out.
