Problem with online chat

I recently formatted my PC and reinstall. As I connect to the chat, the beautiful red (error) appears in place of the cat. Should i install something special? Something like java?

Yet my PC is up to date

Install the java on your pc and choose the J2SE v 1.4.2_07 JRE version
