What modem for ADSL?

I need to know whether to choose a modem adsl usb or ethernet?
Thank you in advance for those who provide a response.

If you have the choice ethernet much easier to install and configure.
And if you ever want to make a network, routers use Ethernet interfaces.

I had problem with Alcatel Speed Touch USB modem
because of insufficient power supply from the motherboard.

I do not think technically it can change much.

- With Linux, the USB modem is really hard to install!
- I have already read (but I know where) that a USB modem, it was an aberration technology.

If you have a choice: Ethernet

Why?

• Ethernet modems are supported by Linux without any problem, which is not the case of USB modems
• Ethernet modems allow natural sharing an Internet connection (without requiring a special side OS)
• USB modems take up bandwidth on the USB bus, which on some computers may cause problems
• USB modems are often self-powered by the USB bus, problems were noted on some computers (install a driver solves the problem)
• I read the manual for my cable modem that is both Ethernet / USB (that means get choice, not need to connect both )
