Having ethernet problem in XP

I'm facing ethernet connection problem in windows Xp. It seems to be disappear from pc, due to which i'm unable to access internet.

When i go into run command and type "ipconfig /all"
When I type:

It only shows "Windows IP Configuration" and no other information is been displayed on the screen. Even my wireless connection does not work.

But my laptop seems to be working fine with the same ethernet connection. Can any one tell me how to resolve this issue?

According to me many network connectivity problems are caused by something as simple as an unplugged cable.


Try to follow the steps below mention:-

1) Restart Computer

2) Check For General Network Outage

3) Is It A Network Or Software Problem?

4) Check Cables

5)Check Network Software Settings

6)Check Network Hardware Settings

Hey try this one out:-

1. Restart your computer.

2. From the Start menu (lower-left corner of the screen), select Control Panel.

3. Then click Double-click on Network Connections

4. Then, Double-click on Local Area Connection.

( In Windows XP, it automatically detects and displays installed network cards.)

5. Check out whether you need to enable your connection by clicking the button in the lower left corner. Once your connection is enabled, this button will toggle to Disable.
